- 7:00 PM: OPENING OF MEETING: OPEN MEMBERSHIP DISCUSSION:
- There were no owner discussion issues.
- ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES:
The minutes of the last meeting were provided for acceptance. (July 14, 2015) There was a motion passed to accept with one minor revision: There was a correction with the name of the bookkeeper who had previously resigned.
- FINANCIAL REPORTING AND REVIEW:
- TREASURER’S REPORT:
Current Funds issued to Affinity Group Inc. put into Operating Account in August of $10,000.
Current Funds held by the HOA- Operating Account $ 3,529.85
- Reserve Account $49,048.33
- Reserve Account $58,680.36

- BOARD REPORT:
- There was general discussion of the need to prepare for an upcoming annual meeting to be held in November. By the time of the October meeting it would be necessary to start preparing a budget draft for 2016.
- Darren Von Flue explained his resignation with the sale of his home and resigned at the meeting. Nickie McIntire is planning to sell her home and resign. She is planning to continue until the annual meeting to be held in November.
- By consensus the board nominated and elected Mike Schwengil to be a board member to serve on the board and fill the term left by Darren Von Flue.
- COMMITTEE REPORTS
- Welcome Committee:
There was general discussion of new owners that were welcomed to the neighborhood. - ARC Committee:
There was general discussion of the process for architectural issues to be addressed and also replacement of the common area basketball hoop that was done recently. A special thank you was given to Bill Johnson for all of his hard work in getting this basketball hoop project accomplished.
There was mention that there are 3 new houses under construction.
There was also discussion of landscape issues and that “Earthworks” had sprayed weeds in recent months around the pond area.

- Pond / Stormwater Drain System:
There was general discussion of the retention pond/stormwater. Steve Barrett talked about the overall condition of the retention pond and that Paul Eckley from the City of Silverton, Public Works department is to respond to the concerns of the Abiqua Heights retention pond.Mike Schwingel discussed long term issues for pond improvement. There was a motion passed for Mike Shwingel to pursue improvements in the chemical balance of the retention pond related to phosphates, enzymes and bacteria with a contractor up to $2,000 limit without further board approval.
